Birch Milk Refining Toner

With a 76% concentration of pure birch juice, this acid toner features an optimal blend of pore-refining AHAs and PHAs and natural skin-soothers like marshmallow root extract and squalane to gently buff away fine lines while hydrating your skin.

Ingredients:

Birch Juice

Our toner replaces water with birch juice (76% concentration), a skin-soothing and hydrating tree sap. Birch juice contains 17 amino acids, antioxidants, enzymes, minerals, proteins and vitamins, including Vitamin B3 and skin-brightening Vitamin C.

Marshmallow Root

This anti-aging plant extract reduces inflammation and fine lines, as well as hydrates and protects the skin. Made up of polysaccharides and flavonoids, it also contains mucilage, a dewy substance with skin-softening and antioxidant properties.

Squalane

Squalane is derived from squalene, a hydrocarbon that is naturally produced by our bodies to maintain moisture in our skin. It also boosts cell regeneration and allows other ingredients to absorb more efficiently into skin. Our squalane is plant-based.

Glycolic and Lactic Acid

Glycolic and lactic acid remove dead skin cells, bringing forth fresh skin, counteracting hyperpigmentation and reducing sun damage. Our toner contains a 1% concentration of acids that it is effective but still gentle enough for daily use.

Gluconolactone

Gluconolactone is a naturally occurring polyhydroxy acid (PHA) that provides exfoliating, moisturizing and antioxidant activity without sensitizing the skin.

How To Use

Gentle for daily use. After cleansing, shake well and dispense Birch Milk Refining Toner into your hands and pat or press onto face and neck. You can also use a cotton pad to gently swipe the toner onto the face and neck. Follow up with The Giving Essence (or essence and serum of choice) to hydrate and strengthen exfoliated skin. With any expected sun exposure, always protect skin with sunscreen.

GALACTOMYCES

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate (GFF) is a derivative of fermented sake that has proven skin care benefits, including reducing the appearance of pores, blackheads and sebum; decreasing levels of acne; and improving skin brightness.

NIACINAMIDE

Niacinamide helps skin retain moisture, increases antioxidant activity to improve overall texture, increases production of ceramides to fortify the skin barrier, reduces appearance of fine lines, and evens out skin tone. Sensitive-skin friendly.

Black Chokeberry

This superfood ingredient has one of the highest recorded antioxidant contents of any fruit or berry, and contributes to skin youth and radiance. Polyphenols in black chokeberry provide anti-aging and skin calming properties, treating UV-exposed skin.

Ellagic Acid

Found in high concentrations in dark fruits, ellagic acid protects against UV rays, collagen degeneration and harmful bacterial pathogens. This acid brightens skin without impacting cell DNA, making it a safe alternative to other brightening ingredients.

Polyglutamic Acid

This water-soluble peptide holds four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid, and leaves skin radiant and hydrated.
